A favorite quote of mine says: “You’re allowed to scream, you’re allowed to cry, but do not give up.“.
The path to success is a long, hard way, but the victory is totally worth it. You just have to keep going and do not give up. You have to go against your mind that says: “Give up now, you can’t do it.”, and instead, know that these lies prevent you from accomplishing your goals.
Keeping your motivation alive isn’t an easy thing, but here are a few ways to do it:
1. MAKE A VISUAL BOARD
What is a visual board? A visual board is a board filled with pictures, quotes, or whatever makes you keep your eyes on your goal.
For instance, if you want to get healthier, you can print out pictures of healthy food, healthy people that inspire you, or quotes about this topic that keep you motivated.
The hole purpose of this is to see it every single day and to keep your goal in your mind, and this way, anytime you feel like giving up, you will remember what you want to accomplish, and motivate yourself to do it.
2. MAKE A LIST
Make a list of all the reasons you are doing this. Writing them down will remind you why you started what you started in the first place, and it will make you want to continue.
You can also write some postcards and add them to your visual board to remind yourself of them everyday.
3. MAKE A PLAN
Making a plan will allow you to see the hole process in detail and it will make you more excited and it will stimulate you to pursue.
You might even come up with new ideas that inspire you and make you want to go further.
4. BE AROUND THE RIGHT PEOPLE
Be around people that go through what you go through and are motivated and focused.
Don’t hang out with people that are negative and pessimist because they will drag you down and make you want to give up. Instead, hang out with positive people that support you and push you.
You don’t even realize what difference it makes to have a positive mindset that keeps you going and being in a right entourage.
5. CHANGE THE LOCATION
Change the environment you’re working in. If you’ve worked in your room the last day, today go in the kitchen, or any other place, even outside if you can.
For example, if you’re running in the park, change the location and go running in another place, or just simply choose another route.
This will make you feel more inspired and it will help you have a more clear mind.
There are numerous apps you can use to meditate. It’s a great way to clear your mind and be more concentrated on what you’re doing.
It has a lot of benefits and I really encourage it.
7. A DAILY TO-DO LIST
A to-do list will help you contribute every day to your goal and it will permanently remind you of it.
It will definitely make you more motivated.
8. DON’T PROCRASTINATE
If you will procrastinate, you will lose your motivation and inspiration.
Instead of doing this, just get to work. No more excuses, no more procrastination. Remember your goal and stay focused.
